With this high quality 90mm aperture Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope, you can see details of the Lunar surface, Venus and its phases, polar caps on Mars, Jupiter and its four moons, Saturn with its rings plainly visible and much more! You can also observe a large number of deep sky objects - nebulae, galaxies and star clusters too! Although the telescope makes a wonderful astronomical scope, with the use of an optional erect image diagonal, the 90SLT also makes a superb terrestrial (land) viewing telescope too.

With its pre-assembled, adjustable steel tripod, the NexStar 90SLT can be up and ready to use in a matter of minutes. Powered by 8 AA (user supplied) batteries, these NexStar GoTo telescopes love to travel. The internal battery compartment provides power to the high precision servo motors for rigid low-vibration performance while eliminating cord wrap issues associated with external battery packs. This makes the SLT range ideal "grab-and-go" telescopes.

The 90SLT, like the other models in Celestron's SLT Series, comes with a fully computerised hand control with a database of over 4,000 celestial objects! With the NexStar’s ergonomically designed hand control, the user is free to remove the hand control from its holder for remote use or leave it cradled for hands-free operation. Celestron's SkyAlign alignment technology, and the included StarPointer Finderscope with a red LED, makes aligning a breeze. Using Celestron’s patented SkyAlign, simply input the date, time and location into the hand control then slew the telescope to any three bright celestial objects in the sky. You do not need to know the names of the stars – you can even pick the Moon or bright planets! you are then ready to explore the night sky! With a touch of a button, you can select the object catalogue, change the slew speed, view fascinating information about an object or simply know if a desired object is visible in the sky.

See the video below on how easy it is to set the SLT telescopes up ready for a night under the stars!
