With the Baader Q-turret eyepiece revolver - selected as Sky & Telescope Hot Product in 2014 - you can easily switch between four eyepieces, or three eyepieces and a Solar system imaging camera, by simply rotating the eyepiece carousel.
This set contains the eyepiece revolver, four 1,25"-eyepieces, a Barlow lens and a storage box and is an excellent alternative to cheap eyepiece sets which are sometimes offered with telescopes.
The included four eyepieces have been selected to give you a useful range in magnification with most telescopes, while the 2.25x Barlow fills the "magnification gaps" and avoids the magnification duplication. The range of focal lengths that you will get with the set are: 2.7mm, 4.4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 14.2mm, 18mm, 32mm (focal length of the supplied eyepieces in bold and the focal length obtained with use of the barlow in italic).
The eyepieces deliver a pure-white image with outstanding sharpness and contrast, 50° field of view, sharp field-stops, and true High-Transmission- (HT) and Multi-Coating on all glass-air-surfaces. The 32mm-Plössl-eyepieces gives you the largest field of view which is possible with 1.25" eyepieces, and the three Orthoscopic eyepieces give a high contrast view even at highest magnifications. They eyepieces have deliberately been designed to look “plain” as ALL the design resources have been focused on the optical design and coating to produce the best performing eyepieces for their price.
When you are finished using the Q-turret accessory, simply remove the revolver with the eyepieces in one piece from your telescope and store them in the supplied Andromeda Galaxy decorated aluminium padded storage box.
